Powell's Book Store(s)
the last few things i've read the past couple of weeks...|
-count zero by william gibson
-breakfast afternoon by andi watson
-5 is the perfect number by igort
-death in venice by thomas mann
can i say that most the stories in the collection death in venice are kind of same-y? that's how i felt...
I've never read Death in Venice with the other stories. My copy is standalone and therefore, very thin. The only other part of it is an intro by Michael Cunningham. I think I liked it, in that way that it seems very German and restricted even though its all about eroticism.
No. That is not an acceptable response.
I have played it safe by not reading the other stories, so as to not risk coming to the same unacceptable conclusion.
Now you should watch this:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119574/
I haven't seen it but it looks cool.
